FAQ
Which hard drive will fit my PC?
Any 3.5" SATA III drive, as long as your motherboard has a free SATA port and your power supply has a SATA power connector. New drives work with older SATA II controllers.
7200 or 5400 rpm for a PC?
For games and work files, 7200 is better: it is faster with small files. For a quiet archive and media library, 5400 is plenty.
Why doesn't my new drive show up in File Explorer?
The drive needs initialising: open Disk Management, choose the GPT partition style and create a partition. It is not a fault.
Is a SATA cable included?
Usually not, drives ship without cables. If your case has no spare one, add a SATA III cable to your order.
