Description
The WD Blue WD40EZAX is a 4 TB 3.5" desktop drive for a home PC. 5400 rpm class, 256 MB cache, CMR recording. An important detail: the WD Blue 4 TB comes in two versions, and it is the EZAX that uses conventional CMR recording, while the EZAZ version is SMR. So the WD40EZAX keeps a steady speed even under long rewrites: torrents, backups, copying large libraries.
The lower speed keeps the drive quiet and cool, which suits a PC in a living room. Use an SSD for the system and apps, and the WD Blue 4 TB as a second drive for games, photos, video and archives.
