Warranty and returns

We sell new hard drives only. Every drive comes with a 6-month store warranty plus the manufacturer's warranty under WD, Seagate or Toshiba terms.

Check the drive on day one

We check SMART on every drive before shipping. We recommend doing the same when you receive it: it takes 5-10 minutes and immediately shows that the drive is new and arrived undamaged. Step-by-step instructions with an attribute table are in How to check a new hard drive.

Returns within 14 days

Under the Ukrainian Consumer Protection Law you can return or exchange a product of proper quality within 14 days if it has not been used and its condition, packaging and documents are intact.

Warranty claims

1. Call us at +38 (0XX) XXX XX XX or email info@hddshop.com.ua, describe the problem and attach a SMART screenshot (CrystalDiskInfo). See How to check a new hard drive for how to take one.
2. Ship the drive by Nova Poshta in an anti-static bag with padding.
3. We test the drive and replace it or refund you within 14 days.

Not covered by warranty

• Physical damage, signs of a drop, damaged controller board.
• Broken warranty seals or signs of opening.
• Damage caused by power surges without a UPS or by overheating.
